A colour growing in popularity, Walnut works well with a wide palette of soft furnishing and paint colours. An emerging trend in interiors is to use darker furniture and contrast it with light décor, neutral coloured flooring and simple furnishing and accessories.
Copeland was designed by Nathan's in-house designer Rob Scarlett, winner of Young Furniture Designer of the Year in 2003. Rob added: American Walnut has been my favourite wood since I started out in furniture design. It has a wonderful interesting grain and rich colour that gives real depth and is a joy to work with.
"Inspiration for the design came in part from the English Arts and Crafts Movement of the eighteenth century that focuses on honest craftsmanship. I didnt want to reproduce traditional furniture, but use this design philosophy to create a pure and enduring classic range.
