French Revolution Ooh la la! New Nathan collection gets a warm welcome. Nathan enjoyed a great response to its new collections at the leading Interiors Show. Nathan was amongst 600 other exhibitors who showcased their very latest designs to retailers at Birmingham’s NEC.
The firm launched a new cabinet collection, Parisienne, under the Nathan French Quarter brand which is made from Nathan’s signature teak timber. The style and design of this collection is a complete new direction from the sort of ranges for which Nathan is normally known.
Nathan has encapsulated the essence of French design in this comprehensive range of teak living and dining furniture. Beautifully curvaceous pieces are crafted from solid wood and wood veneers with contemporary elements that combine the classic French silhouette with modern touché, simply adorned. The teak has an aged, mellowed finish that highlights the lustre of the timber as if bought back to life with a hand wax. The idea was create a range with a feel as if the pieces were retrieved from the attic; left untouched from a bygone era.
Andrew Cochrane, Managing Director of Nathan, commented “Parisienne represents the very best of French design: it is feminine, curvaceous, eye catching and relaxed to live with. Importantly it has been tailored for a UK customer and will be serviced from our UK operations base. It is very different in style from our other collections, but we aim to challenge expectation and stand out from the crowd – I think it’s in our ethos to do so!”
